An der Landesberufsschule 6 in Salzburg werden junge Menschen, die eine Lehre absolvieren, ein- bis zweimal wöchentlich unterrichtet. Ausgebildet werden Büro-, Industrie- und Fotokaufleute sowie Lehrlinge aus den Bereichen Drogerie, Personaldienstleistung und Einkauf. Viele der Schülerinnen und Schüler behalten nach der Lehre ihren Arbeitsplatz, sofern sie die Schule erfolgreich abschließen. Andererseits streben immer mehr Lehrlinge später ein Studium an einer Fachhochschule oder Universität an. Die Ausbildung an der Berufsschule am neuesten Stand der Technologie zu orientieren, ist den Verantwortlichen ein großes Anliegen und vor allem auch im Interesse der Wirtschaft.
Das Ambiente der Schule ist freundlich, lässt Kreativität zu. Schülerinnen und Schüler sind in eine Berufswelt eingebunden, die sich rasch verändert. Den Lehrenden an der Schule ist diese Dynamik bewußt.
Sie sind bestrebt, ihr fachliches Wissen stets auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten und mit den technologischen Neuerungen in den Büros Schritt zu halten. So steht es auch im Leitbild der Schule zu lesen.
Die Interviews mit einzelnen Lehrpersonen haben gezeigt, dass eine große Bereitschaft spürbar ist, pädagogische und organisatorische Veränderungsprozesse an der Schule aktiv mitzutragen.

At the Landesberufschule 6 in Salzburg, young people are being prepared for their future professions. The pupils complete their apprenticeships and spend one or two days a week at the school. The school trains: office executives, chemists and photography apprentices. Many of these students know that they will remain with their employer if they are able to complete their studies successfully. On the other hand, the system has become permeable and increasing numbers of students aim to go on to a university or college. It is, therefore, also in the interest of the economy to provide vocational schools with a high technological standard.
